EXPERIENCE

June 2021 -Present: Freelance Apparel Designer in sportswear, streetwear + outdoor / outerwear

Jan 2020 - May 2021: Apparel Designer at Goose Design Agency, London.
Working on Salomon SS21, FW21, SS22 and FW22 Outlife ranges.
▪ For FW22: Design of Gore-Tex and insulated jackets.
▪ For FW21 + SS22: Product direction & design of ranges including modelling in 3D using CLO.
▪ For SS21: Creating key styles under the established creative direction. Managing graphic design freelancers. Creating tech packs & working with Salomon in-house development team.
Other Goose projects: Designing a range for a Nissan & Shell collaboration for the Formula E market. Working on knitwear for Edmund Hillary.

Nov 2017 - Sep 2019: Apparel Designer at New Era Cap, Milton Keynes.
▪ Designing lifestyle apparel for New Era’s NFL and NBA licenses across outerwear, sweats, jersies and bottoms in knits and wovens in both synthetic and organic fabrics.
▪ Creating tech packs, all-over prints, placed graphic artwork, fabric selection & new fabric development including engineered, new trim deveopment including embellishments and jacquards.
▪ Working with the product development team to fit protos & action updates in tech packs and artworks. Creating a fit block library with the development team. Working with Sourcing to cost and develop fabrics in line with target FOBs and seasonal caledars.
▪ Making construction toiles to send to factories when constructions were new.
▪ Attending trade fairs such as ISPO and Premiere Vision for inspiration as well as conducting various store checks over Europe.
▪ As of May 1st this year, one assistant designer directly reporting to me.

May 2017 - Aug 2017: Designer at Goose Consultancy London
▪ Working on technical and lifestyle apparel.

Apr 2016 - Jan 2017: Global Football Apparel Designer, Under Armour, Baltimore.
▪ Designing technical training apparel for Global Football for UA’s Premier League, European and South American teams. Designing the kits for 2018 AZ Alkmaar and Toluca FC, including all over prints and placed prints.
▪ Working with the PLM team to gain market insights and translate them into functional, desirable products.
▪ Working with the product development team to fit protos. Creating BOMs and technical drawings for the range. ▪ Working in the UA atelier to create mockups of conceptual ideas, including pattern making and working with machinists.
▪ Creating a fully fashioned technical piece, made with a Stoll knitting machine (initially designed as a seamless piece).
▪ Working with the materials team to select and develop technical fabrics, incorporated into the training range.
▪Working with the wear testing team to determine whether certain fabrics are suitable for desired execution in garment format. Designing licensed kits for domestic sale.

Oct 2014 -Mar 2016: Print + Apparel/ Sportswear Designer, GLD Group, London
▪ Working across brands Addict and Umbro producing both technical and lifestyle products and all-over prints.
▪ For Addict: Being solely responsible for producing the SS16 womenswear collection to complement SS16 Men’s. I'm the sole AOP designer for Menswear working under the lead designer's direction. This season have been given graphic tees to look after too. Processes include WGSN research, store checks, mood boards, fabric selection, AOP and placement print design (including producing correct artwork for roller print and sublimated print), garment design and tech packs. Product range includes taped and bonded jackets, sweats and jerseys.
▪ For Umbro: Working on football fanwear packages for Umbro Premier League teams. Processes include garment design, trim design, graphic design, appliqué, plastisol print, flock print and embroidery. Designing a select number of pieces for SS16 Umbro Pro Training and colour-ups and accessories design for AW15 Umbro Pro Training. Processes including designing under direction
of the senior designer, tech packs and producing AOP artwork files.

Feb 2013 - Aug 2013: Running Apparel Intern, Adidas, Herzo
▪ Working in the Running Apparel team, designing the Mens FW14 Sequentials collection comprising of 8 original pieces and including a new brand fabric. Creating CADs for merch boards and tech packs using Illustrator.
▪ Presenting ideas to the marketing team.
▪ Working on SMUs and promotional ranges comprising of colour-ups and modifying existing styles.
▪ Working in the atelier to experiment new construction ideas.
▪ Working with developers and pattern cutters to make ideas suitable for production.
▪ Handing over styles to marketing and development.
▪ Communicating with the legal team to ensure C.I. standards are met.

May 2009 - Feb 2013: Designer, Elenany, London
▪ Garment Design: Creating patterns, toiles, fabric sourcing and sampling for both womenswear and menswear.
▪ Working with knitted and wovens to produce dresses, sweatshirts, coats, jackets and raincoats.
▪ Creating original artwork and transforming into wet screens or for digital print use. Wet screen printing using a range of binders.
▪ Production: Producing spec sheets, production patterns and samples. Working with CMT factories in London to produce garments for a specified deadline. Working with the sampling line in a factory in Egypt to understand production processes.
▪ Marketing: Organising photoshoots including creating concepts and working with stylists, MUAs and hair stylists to create the desired look.
