Big Painting on my wall

Techniques: Illustrator, stencil making, hand painting.

Story: I wanted to make my home office enjoyable and inspiring to work in so I decided to paint an entire wall with graphics that were personal to me. I looked through old holiday photos and found pictures of Marrakesh and Tokyo which I really loved so tried to somehow combine both influences. I measured the wall then drew a full scale version of what the graphic should be in Illustrator, using a pre-made tile stencil I found online as the Moroccan influence. I then converted the wave and temple artwork to a line drawing and printed it full scale, which I then cut using a scalpel to create a stencil. I hand painted the waves and shrine and rollered the tile stencil.
